Wow – we put the challenge out there and you responded! The 2012 Play It Out theme song is all over the place. Everyone is whistling at T Bar M – we can’t seem to get that tune out of our heads. We cannot wait to see what motions attach to this song this summer!

So get “Play it Out” the 2012 T Bar M Camps theme song by David Dunn today.  Go here.  Download it.  Be a part of the biggest camp download in history!  Did we tell you it’s FREE??

Camp is just around the corner!  Our goal (we call it a BHAG – Big, Holy, Audacious Goal) is to send every single camper and coach out of our gates knowing that he or she is His beloved, then walking as salt and light with their own L252 story to tell.    Often as the summer progresses, we are always humbled and amazed to see that not only does the Lord use us to teach kids, but He teaches us just as much through the campers as we teach them.

We want to share a letter we received from one of our coaches about the impact that her campers had on her this past summer.

From coach Annie:

I feel like I understand Matthew 18:3 for more than I ever imagined.  I now know why Jesus tells us to “become like little children.”  After seeing the my campers’ faith week after week,  I began to desire to believe like they do. 

One week I was talking to my batter’s box kids about God’s plan for their lives.  I began to tell them that He knew who they would marry and where they would go to college.  Lauren who was 6 years old said with a deep breath and sweet innocent voice, “Phew, I am so glad Jesus is in the driver’s seat!”  I thought how often I forget just that – that Jesus is in control of my life.  What is their possibly to worry about?  And thank goodness He is. 

Another precious moment was with a group of girls who had an overwhelming desire to know more and more each day about the Bible.  It was so neat to see what questions they had or comments they shared.  Some I didn’t even know how to respond, so we read and found out together.  One girl, Andrea, expressed how she wished she could know everything about God and heaven and couldn’t understand the concept of eternity.  I told her that is one of the coolest things about God. He is so much smarter and greater than us, we couldn’t possibly understand everything!  And the things we don’t know, we get to ask Him when we see Him face to face.  Suddenly her mouth spread open wide and she clapped and giggled.  The idea of meeting her Lord face to face literally brought Joy to her face. It was a perfect example of truly rejoicing in the Lord.

What an honor and a privilege being a coach has been.  Although I came in thinking I would be pouring out more than taking in, the Lord made sure I knew I was wrong.  I learned how to trust in His plan, step out of my comfort zone, be a servant, and learn from God’s little children.  God is good.
